Diana has 20 years of yoga experience, teaching for 10. Her teaching style comes from a fusion of influences from traditional Indian to contemporary western. She has spent time in both India and New York to learn and explore the different dimentions of yoga, what is means to her and how she can inspire, share and influence to others.
Diana believes that yoga is the process that enables you to confront your limits and transcend them so you can live your true potential. The essence of yoga is not attainments, but how awarely you work with your limits. Classes are designed to explore this concept reminding you to back off when appropriate and challenge when ready. Ease within asana comes when effort runs out !
Diana aims to help you find inner connection, deepen your practice and cultivate a creative self expression whilst learning to love doing it !
Yin and Restore - Tuesdays 7.45pm
This class is all about slowing down and learning to be still within yourself, taking a rest from the world of yang and constant bombardment of images, emails, social media, time frames, deadlines, movement and whatever else our culture throws at us ! It is therefore a very mindful, meditative practice which has huge benefits for the nervous system and the mind. Anatomically, yin can help nourish and strengthen our joints, help us release tension in the fascia and balance our energy levels. Postures are held between 3-5 mins giving time to explore what we're experiencing and to deepen our awareness.
