Rosie's Profile
About Rosie
Rosie is a caring and highly approachable counsellor & psychotherapist who offers a confidential, space for you to come and explore thoughts, feelings and issues you may be currently struggling with.
She works with adults and has a specialist interest in helping teens and adolescents.
Rosie explains her approach:
"I believe compassion for self and others is central to finding contentment and much of my work focuses on this. Without self compassion, our loud critical voices can prevent us from living in the moment and allowing others close to us.
People come to counselling for many different reasons, such as trying to make sense of a difficult period in their life or possibly an increasing need to understand a problem that has always been there.
I am a Humanistic counsellor and believe each of us has the ability to grow, heal and to ultimately find fulfillment within ourselves. My job is to be alongside you on your journey, reflecting back what I see and at times gently challenging unhelpful beliefs and coping strategies you may have adopted to get through a difficult past. Whilst these coping strategies may have been necessary once they may now be holding you back."
Free initial session
Looking for the right counsellor can be overwhelming, especially when you are feeling vulnerable and lost. With this in mind, I am happy to offer a 30 minute introductory session at no charge. This is a chance for us to meet and for you to decide if I'm the right person for you. We can also use this time to look at what it is you would like to get out of counselling.
Short & long-term therapy
I can offer both short term counselling, usually between 6 - 12 sessions, or more open-ended counselling depending on your needs and circumstances. I am experienced at working with both Adults and Adolescents.
