High Intensity Pilates
This specialist class combines pilates with a high intensity workout led by body control pilates instructor and fitness professional, Rachel Attmere.
HIP Pilates is specifically designed to be a dynamic cardiovascular workout. It is not a replacement for traditional Pilates but instead offers the chance to take the technique and skills that are learned in a traditional class into something that is fun and faster paced. It is the ideal way to begin your weekend bright and early on Saturday mornings!
Rachel qualified as a Body Control Pilates instructor over 16 years ago, She originally trained as a dancer before taking a degree in performing arts. In her early career, Rachel taught circuit training, aerobics and aqua aerobics. After developing a specialist interest in supporting the rehabilitation of her clients, it was a natural step for Rachel to train as a pilates instructor. In addition to her qualification in Body Control Pilates, Rachel has achieved Level 4 on the Register of Exercise Professionals. Over the past decade she has run a wide range of regular classes and one-to-one sessions in Sussex. Her extensive experience includes teaching clients with a wide range of needs and conditions, including pre- and post-pregnancy, osteoporosis and multiple sclerosis.
